Overview And Highlights

Lobuche Peak (4,950m) has two distinct summits, East and West bearing an elevation of 6119m and 6145m respectively. The east is considered as the ‘trekking peak’ whereas the west is known as an ‘Expedition peak’, both connected by a ridge.

To reach this Peak one must take a path to Everest Base Camp via Gorakhshep. A climb of Kala patthar at 5550m, offers great views of Everest and good acclimatization and exercise before climbing Lobuche.

The Lobuche peak rises as a dark triangle entity above the marines of the Khumbu glacier.  The East Lobuchhe is reached by descending a marked notch and then climbing steep snowy slopes to top. One can enjoy the view of Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Everest and Tawachhe from the summit of Lobuchhe Peak.
